Update Your Account with Company & Tax Number (click here) once you enter username & password, click on Your Account (top left), then Profile (top left), add Company & PST/Resale Tax Number, click Update Profile (bottom).
Update Your Account with new or additional Credit Cards (click here) Sign In (top right) once you enter username & password, click on Your Account (top left), then Payment Settings (top left), add a new card before deleting an old card, click Update Profile (bottom).
How to sign up to bid online
- Click on the grey button "Sign up for Online Bidding" to the right of the auction you are interested on
- Under the username & password section there is a “Create New Account” button (if using the sign in with facebook or google please ensure that the name entered is your legal name)
-You will need to verify your email before signing into the auction, click the link emailed to you.
-Again click the “Sign up for Online Bidding”
-Sign into your account
-You will now enter your address, credit card #, preferred payment method, etc. Make sure:
• Your first and last name are entered as your legal name. If you go by a nickname or shortened version of your legal name, please enter your legal first name in brackets & then your preferred first name. ie. Jennie (Jennifer) Ford.
• The credit card being used belongs to you (we cannot approve an account with another card even if you have permission to use it and we do not accept company cards or box addresses). You are signing a legally binding contract. It is you personally that will be responsible for non payment, and as such, we require your personal credit card to ensure we have the correct name & address for you (no box addresses). You will be charged $1 as Authorize.net tests the card, the $1 will be refunded within 10 days.
• Your billing and shipping address match your credit card exactly. Authorize.net sends a message to your bank, asking for verification of the card & address. If the address does not match what you have on file with your credit card company, you will not get approved to bid.
• The “Company Name” and “Tax Number” sections are optional if you are bidding as an individual you can ignore them. If you are bidding for a company, please enter the company name & the PST number (8 digits beginning with a 1) for BC businesses. You will be asked verbally at each auction if you would like your purchase to be PST expempt, this is not done automatically, it is your responsibility to ensure your PST number is applied correctly for items you are purchasing for resale.
-Your credit card will be charged $1 and then refunded within 10 days, ensuring the information entered matches credit card holder.
-Your first time signing up you will receive and email telling you that your account is pending.
• Our staff will then review the account & approve if everything matches or contact you to adjust if your account needs some changes. We approve bidders during office hours Mon to Fri 9am-4pm. If all the information matches you will be approved during these hours and receive an email stating so.
• Watch your email after you have received the “pending” if any changes need to be made we will contact you by phone or email.
Once you have been approved once you will be preapproved for all future auctions, you will just have to reconfirm your information each sign in. Each auction has different payment & pick up requirements which you need to read & agree to as part of the sign in.
Reminder all new bidders need to be registered by 4pm preview day to be approved to bid online.
*You cannot bid online with your phone* (live bidding is quick & instant, when you hit the bid button you are agreeing to the bid price on the bid button, for this reason you are required to use a laptop or computer for live bidding)
